About the Crowdfunding
My journey began in Nyalenda Slum, Kisumu Kenya, where rotting waste and polluted rivers were our companions daily. I got Sickened by the filth and ashamed of my home’s reputation, and then I sought change. I got inspired by the use of Black soldier flies to reduce waste, I became interested in incubating insects to create a healthier environment. This gave hope for a future in which insects could be a solution for unemployment, food insecurity, and pollution.
At Eco Alchemy we turn waste into opportunity. We collect organic waste, process it using black soldier fly larvae and other insects like super worms and cricket, and transform it into animal feed and organic fertilizer.
To process organic waste into valuable resources like animal feed and organic fertilizer, we need a granulator machine, to help us in grinding the waste. It’s not just about equipment; it’s about reducing overflowing landfills, combating climate change, and creating sustainable futures for vulnerable youths and struggling farmers in our community.
This machine will allow us to empower more youths, with skills to turn waste into income, equip farmers with tools to reduce costs, and protect the environment for future generations.
